In addition to treating wastewater, the District is also responsible for managing stormwater in Vallejo. Stormwater creates issues that are both quantitative (too much water in the wrong place creates flooding) and qualitative (stormwater is the leading cause of water pollution in most of the nation).

The Vallejo Watershed Alliance is a community-based group working together to improve the greater Vallejo watershed, which encompasses the City of Vallejo and nearby unincorporated areas of Solano County.

Solano Stormwater Alliance

Vallejo Flood & Wastewater District is a proud partner of the Solano Stormwater Alliance. The Stormwater Alliance is a group of cities and utilities that manage storm drain networks in Solano County, working together to foster a culture of stewardship that benefits people and nature.
